In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ ABOUT WHAT do they [most often] ask one another? 1 Is it about the awesome tiding 2 concerning which they have disputes. 3 Nay! they shall soon come to know 4 Again, indeed, they shall know! 5 Have We not made the earth a resting place? 6 And the mountains as projections (thereon)? 7 and created you in pairs (as men and women), 8 And We made your sleep to be rest (to you), 9 And We made the night to be a covering, 10 And We have made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven strong (heavens), 12 And have appointed a dazzling lamp, 13 And then sent down hard rain from the water bearing clouds. 14 That We may bring forth thereby corn and herbs, 15 and gardens dense with foliage. 16 Verily the Day of Sorting out is a thing appointed, 17 On that day the trumpet will be sounded and you will come (to Us) in huge groups. 18 and when the skies are opened and become [as wide-flung] gates; 19 And the mountains shall be moved away from their places and they will be as if they were a mirage. 20 Verily the Hell is an ambuscade: 21 The rebels' abode, 22 In which they will remain for ages [unending]. 23 They will not feel cold nor taste any drink 24 Except hot boiling water and hot pus discharged from the people of hell. 25 a fitting requital, 26 Indeed, they were not expecting an account 27 And they denied Our signs to the extreme. 28 but We have recorded everything in a Book. 29 'Taste! We shall increase you not save in chastisement.' 30
