The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
