It is He Who sent down water from the sky – you drink from it, and from it are trees you use as pasture. 10 and by virtue of which He causes crops and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit to grow for you. Surely in this there is a great Sign for those who reflect. 11 He has subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon and the stars have also been made subservient by His command. Surely there are Signs in this for those who use their reason. 12 And that which He has multiplied for you in the earth of diverse hues. Surely in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 It is He Who has made the sea subject, that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract therefrom ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the bounty of Allah and that ye may be grateful. 14 And He placed mountains as anchors in the earth so that it may not shake along with you, and streams and roads for you to find course. 15 as well as [various other] means of orientation: for [it is] by the stars that men find their way. 16 IS, THEN, HE who creates comparable to any [being] that cannot create? Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 17 And if you should count the favors of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you declare. 19 Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created. 20 They are dead, not living; nor do they know when they will be raised to life. 21
