Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 Have We not made the earth a repository 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be you and the earlier generations. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
