Warnings also came to the Pharaonites, 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 Anon will their multitude be vanquished, and they will turn the back. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 The evil-doers are indeed sunk in error and folly -- 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 Whatever they have done has been recorded in the Books (records of the deeds). 52 And everything small and great is written down. 53 The pious ones will live in Paradise wherein streams flow, 54 At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful. 55
