Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 And lower thy wing (in kindness) unto those believers who follow thee. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
