Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book (the Quran). 2 A guide and a mercy for the Muhsinun (good-doers) 3 Those who establish worship and pay the poor-due and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 Such have guidance from their Lord. Such are the successful. 5 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 6 When Our verses are recited before them they turn away haughtily as though they did not hear them, as if a deafness had come into their ears. So give them tidings of a shameful punishment. 7 (As for) those who believe and do good, they shall surely have gardens of bliss, 8 Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and cast on the earth firm mountains lest it should shake with you. Upon it He dispersed all manner of crawling thing, and He sent down water from the sky with which He caused to grow in it every generous kind. 10 Such is Allah's creation. Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created. Nay, the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error. 11
