Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Wise Qur'an, 2 you are indeed one of the messengers 3 On a straight path. 4 A revelation from the mighty, ever-merciful (God), 5 that thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were never warned, so they are heedless. 6 The Phrase has become obligatory upon most of them, yet they do not believe. 7 Behold, around their necks We have put shackles, reaching up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up; 8 And We have set a bar before them and a bar behind them, and (thus) have covered them so that they see not. 9 And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe. 10 You only warn he who follows the Remembrance and fears the Merciful in the Unseen. Give to him glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
