Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Quran, full of wisdom, 2 That you are indeed one of those sent 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 so that you may warn a people who are unaware because their fathers were not warned. 6 Surely most of them merit the decree of chastisement; so they do not believe. 7 Verily We have placed on their necks shackles which are up to the chins; so that their heads are forced up. 8 And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see. 9 And it is alike to them whether you warn them or warn them not: they do not believe. 10 Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous. 11 Verily We! We shall quicken the dead. And We write down that which they send before and their footsteps. And everything We have counted up in a Book luminous. 12
