۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 then for him there shall be comfort and plenty and a Garden of Bliss; 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And burning in hell. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
