Nay, by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 As a warning unto men, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
