Al-Naba' 2 of 2
The pious ones will be triumphant. 31 Gardens enclosed, and grapevines; 32 And young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age; 33 And a cup overflowing. 34 No empty talk will they hear in that [paradise,] nor any lie. 35 all this will be a recompense, a gift, that will suffice them, from your Lord, 36 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He is the Beneficent God and no one will be able to address Him. 37 On the Day when the Spirit and the angels stand in ranks, no one will speak, except for those to whom the Lord of Mercy gives permission, and who will say only what is right. 38 That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return. 39 Lo! We warn you of a chastisement near at hand; the Day when a man will look on what his own hands have sent forth, and the unbelievers shall say: “Oh would that I were utter dust.” 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
