The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 Taught man what he knew not. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
