And We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers. 16 We have protected them from every condemned devil, 17 But any that gains a hearing by stealth, is pursued by a flaming fire, bright (to see). 18 As for the earth, We have stretched it out and have cast on it firm mountains, and have caused to grow in it everything well-measured. 19 We have provided therein a means of livelihood for you and for all those creatures for whom you do not provide. 20 There is not a thing but its storehouses are with Us. But We only send down each thing in an appropriate measure: 21 And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then caused the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We gave it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like]. 22 Lo! and it is We, even We, Who quicken and give death, and We are the Inheritor. 23 To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. 24 Your Lord will surely gather them together: Certainly He is all-wise and all-knowing. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
