O People who Believe! Seek help from patience and prayer; indeed Allah is with those who patiently endure. 153 And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah, "They are dead." Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not. 154 We shall certainly test you with fear and hunger, and loss of property, lives and crops. Give good news to those who endure with fortitude. 155 Who say, when a misfortune striketh them: Lo! we are Allah's and lo! unto Him we are returning. 156 Such are they on whom are blessings from their Lord, and mercy. Such are the rightly guided. 157 ۞ Lo! (the mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to go around them (as the pagan custom is). And he who doeth good of his own accord, (for him) lo! Allah is Responsive, Aware. 158 Indeed those who hide the clear proofs and the guidance which We sent down, after We made it clear to mankind in the Book – upon them is the curse of Allah and the curse of those who curse. 159 Except those who repent and amend and make manifest (the truth), these it is to whom I turn (mercifully); and I am the Oft-returning (to mercy), the Merciful. 160 But those who deny, and die disbelieving, bear the condemnation of God and the angels and that of all men, 161 They will live condemned forever, will have no relief from the torment, and no attention will be paid to them. 162 Our Lord is the only Lord. There is no God but He, the Beneficent and Merciful. 163
