The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
