Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 Knowing that they will be subjected to a torment that breaks the backs. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
