Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 storming tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
