[O MEN!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built? 27 He raised its roof and made it proper. 28 and darkened its night and brought forth its morning. 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 and has caused its waters to come out of it, and its pastures, 31 and has made the mountains firm: 32 [all this] as a means of livelihood for you and your animals. 33 But when the great calamity will come about 34 The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, 35 And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, 36 Then as for him who waxed exorbitant, 37 And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), 38 Lo! hell will be his home. 39 And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord's (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires, 40 shall dwell in Paradise. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 What do you have to do with explaining it? 43 Its final end is for your Lord. 44 You are only a warner for those who fear it. 45 On the Day whereon they behold it, it will appear to them as though they had not tarried save an evening or the morn thereof. 46
