The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 it is no merriment. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
