Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
