Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
