And (as to) those who reject Our communications, We draw them near (to destruction) by degrees from whence they know not. 182 And I grant them respite; surely My scheme is effective. 183 Do they not reflect that their companion has not unsoundness in mind; he is only a plain warner. 184 Have they not observed the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and all that Allah has created and that their term of life might have drawn near After this warning from the Prophet, what will it be that will make them believe? 185 No one can guide those whom God has caused to go astray and has left to continue blindly in their rebellion. 186 They ask you about the hour, when will be its taking place? Say: The knowledge of it is only with my Lord; none but He shall manifest it at its time; it will be momentous in the heavens and the earth; it will not come on you but of a sudden. They ask you as if you were solicitous about it. Say: Its knowledge is only with Allah, but most people do not know. 187 Say: "I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah willeth. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I should have multiplied all good, and no evil should have touched me: I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have faith." 188
