The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ "Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others. 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 In response they denied him – therefore the punishment of the day of the tent* seized them; that was indeed a punishment of a Great Day. (The clouds formed a tent and rained fire upon them). 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
