Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Have you seen the one who calls the religion a lie? 1 It is he who pushes the orphan away, 2 and urges not the feeding of the needy. 3 So ruin is to those offerers of prayer – 4 whose hearts from their prayer are remote 5 Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
