WITH ALL THIS, man [often] says, "What! Once I am dead, shall I again be brought forth alive?" 66 Does not man remember that We created him before, while he was nothing? 67 So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell; 68 Then We shall carry off from every group those who were most stubborn in their opposition to the Gracious One, 69 and then We shall know well all those most worthy to be cast in Hell. 70 And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed. 71 Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees. 72 And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Which of [our] two parties is best in position and best in association?" 73 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance? 74 Say: "As for him who lives in error, may the Most Gracious lengthen the span of his life! [And let them say whatever they say until the time when they behold that [doom] of which they were forewarned - whether it be suffering [in this world] or [at the coming of] the Last Hour - for then they will understand which [of the two kinds of man] was worse in station and weaker in resources! 75 And Allah increases in guidance those who walk aright [true believers in the Oneness of Allah who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden), and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. And the righteous good deeds that last, are better with your Lord, for reward and better for resort. 76 Have you seen him who denies Our revelations, and says: "I will certainly be given wealth and children." 77 Has he gained knowledge of the Unseen? Or taken a covenant with the Merciful? 78 By no means! We shall write down all what he says; and We shall greatly prolong his chastisement, 79 And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone. 80 And they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor. 81 By no means! They shall soon deny their worship and shall become their adversaries instead. 82
