The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 When the earth is shaken 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 And ye are classes three. 7 Those on the right hand; how happy shall those on the right hand be! 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 In Gardens of Bliss: 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 NOW AS FOR those who have attained to righteousness - what of those who have attained to righteousness? 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 and extended shade, 30 And water gushing, 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 And raised couches; 34 and their spouses We shall have brought them into being afresh, 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
