T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
