۞ O men! It is you who stand in need of God -- God is self-sufficient, and praiseworthy -- 15 If He so pleased, He could blot you out and bring in a New Creation. 16 that is surely no great matter for God. 17 And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination. 18 And the blind and the seeing are not alike 19 Neither darknesses and light, 20 nor the [cooling] shade and the scorching heat: 21 Nor are alike those that are living and those that are dead. Allah can make any that He wills to hear; but thou canst not make those to hear who are (buried) in graves. 22 You, [O Muhammad], are not but a warner. 23 Verily, We have sent thee with the truth, as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner: for there never was any community but a warner has [lived and] passed away in its midst. 24 And if these disbelievers deny you, those before them had also denied; their Noble Messengers came to them with clear proofs and scriptures and the bright Book. 25 but in the end I seized those who were bent on denying the truth and how terrible was My punishment. 26
