The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Verily your God is One, 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
