Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
