Lo! those who ward off (evil) are among gardens and watersprings. 45 [having been received with the greeting,] "Enter here in peace, secure!" 46 And [by then] We shall have removed whatever unworthy thoughts or feelings may have been [lingering] in their breasts, [and they shall rest] as brethren, facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 47 There shall touch them no toil therein, nor therefrom they shall ever be driven out. 48 ۞ Tell My servants I am the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate, 49 And that indeed the punishment of Mine is a painful punishment. 50 Tell them of Abraham's guests. 51 (How) when they came in unto him, and said: Peace. He said: Lo! we are afraid of you. 52 They said, “Do not fear – we convey to you the glad tidings of a knowledgeable boy.” 53 Said he: "Do you give me this glad tiding despite the fact that old age has overtaken me? Of what [strange thing,] then, are you giving me a tiding!" 54 They said: we bear tidings of a truth; be then thou not of the desponding. 55 Abraham said: "Who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except the misguided?" 56 He said: What is your business then, O apostles? 57 They said: We have been sent unto a guilty folk, 58 "Except the family of Lot whom we shall save 59 excepting only his wife, [of whom God says,] 'We have ordained [that,] behold, she should be among those who stay behind!' 60
