(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the chiefs on high when they disputed; 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them: 73 Except Iblis. He was filled with pride and turned an unbeliever. 74 Said He, 'Iblis, what prevented thee to bow thyself before that I created with My own hands? Hast thou waxed proud, or art thou of the lofty ones?' 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 That I will fill Hell with you [Iblis (Satan)] and those of them (mankind) that follow you, together." 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 "And you shall certainly know the truth of it after a while. 88
