Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)- 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We send down from the skies water rich in blessings, and cause thereby gardens to grow, and fields of grain, 9 And tall date-palms laden with clusters ranged. 10 as sustenance apportioned to men; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life: [and] even so will be [man's] coming-forth from death. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
