Thus did We deliver the Children of Israel from the humiliating chastisement, 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 And We exalted them over the other people knowingly, 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] is the term appointed for all of them: 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to another, nor shall any be helped, 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
