Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

Almighty God's Truth.

There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
