The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man, 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25
