▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 in a hidden Book 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
