In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blessed be He in whose hand is the Kingdom -- He is powerful over everything -- 1 He created death and life so that He might test you, and find out which of you is best in conduct. He is the Mighty, the Most Forgiving One. 2 It is He who has created seven heavens, one above the other. You can see no flaw in the creation of the Beneficent God. Look again. Can you see faults? 3 Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim. 4 We have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps, and We have made them for driving away devils. For them We have prepared the punishment of the blazing Fire. 5 Those who are bent on blaspheming against their Lord will have the punishment of Hell: an evil destination. 6 When they are thrown into hell, they will hear its roaring while it boils. 7 It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" 8 They say: Yea, verily, a warner came unto us; but we denied and said: Allah hath naught revealed; ye are in naught but a great error. 9 And they will say, “Had we listened or understood, we would not have been among the people of hell.” 10 And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze. 11 Surely forgiveness and a mighty reward await those who fear Allah without seeing Him. 12 Whether you say a thing secretly or openly, He knows the innermost secrets of your hearts. 13 Does the One Who is Subtle, All-aware, and Who created all things not know all about them? 14

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
