The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 Taught man what he knew not. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah beholdeth? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
