The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
