The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
