The Town (Al-Balad)
20 verses, revealed in Mecca after Q (Qaaf) before The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ No, I swear by this country (Mecca), 1 and you are dwelling in this city -- 2 And by the begetter (i.e. Adam) and that which he begot (i.e. his progeny); 3 We have certainly created man into hardship. 4 Does he think that never will anyone overcome him? 5 He says, "I have spent wealth in abundance." 6 Thinks he that none sees him? 7 Have We not made for him a pair of eyes?- 8 a tongue, and two lips, 9 And have shown him the two ways? 10 So he did not quickly enter the steep valley. 11 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Ascent is! - 12 [It is] the freeing of one's neck [from the burden of sin,] 13 Or to feed in times of famine 14 To the orphan with claims of relationship, 15 or a needy man in misery; 16 Then he became of those who believed and enjoined on each other steadfastness and enjoined on each other compassion. 17 These are the fellows of the righthand. 18 As for those who disbelieve in Our revelations, they are the people of the left 19 Over them shall be Fire closing round. 20
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
