T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
