The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
