۞ We sent a revelation to Moses telling him to leave with our servants during the night; they would be pursued (by the Pharaoh). 52 And Pharaoh sent heralds unto all cities, 53 Verily these are but a band small. 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 “And indeed we are an alert army.” 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 Thus it was, but We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 Moses said, "Certainly not. My Lord is with me and He will certainly guide me." 62 Then We revealed to Moses, 'Strike with thy staff the sea'; and it clave, and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
