The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the Night as it conceals (the light); 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 And by oath of the One Who created the male and the female. 3 O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 And accepts the best, 6 for him shall We make easy the path towards [ultimate] ease. 7 but for him that is a miser, and sufficed, 8 and rejects what is right, 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. 11 Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, 12 And indeed the Hereafter and this world both belong to Us. 13 Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire 14 None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones 15 Who had denied and turned away. 16 The pious ones will be safe from this fire 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 They do not expect any reward 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 surely, he shall be satisfied. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
