The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 I am not going to drive away any believers. 114 I am nothing but a plain warner." 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We saved him and those with him in a laden ship. 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 122
