And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
