O believers, devour not usury, doubled and redoubled, and fear you God; haply so you will prosper. 130 Save yourselves from the fire which is prepared for the unbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Noble Messenger, hoping that you gain mercy. (Obeying the Prophet is in fact obeying Allah.) 132 ۞ And march forth in the way (which leads to) forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2). 133 for those who spend, both in prosperity and adversity, who restrain their anger and are forgiving towards their fellow men -- God loves those who do good works. 134 And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - Who forgiveth sins save Allah only? - and will not knowingly repeat (the wrong) they did. 135 These it is who shall have as their reward forgiveness from their Sustainer, and gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide: and how excellent a reward for those who labour! 136 Some traditions have been tried before you – therefore travel in the land and see what sort of fate befell those who denied. 137 This (the Quran) is a plain statement for mankind, a guidance and instruction to those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2). 138 Faint not, neither sorrow; you shall be the upper ones if you are believers. 139 If a wound touches you, a like wound already has touched the heathen; such days We deal out in turn among men, and that God may know who are the believers, and that He may take witnesses from among you; and God loves not the evildoers; 140 test the faith of the believers, and deprive the unbelievers of (His) blessings. 141 Do you think you will go to Paradise while God does not know who among you strive and persist? 142 Ye did indeed wish for death before ye met him: Now ye have seen him with your own eyes, (And ye flinch!) 143
